Palo Verde Jungle Tour

Monkeys, birds and crocodile, Oh My! This adventure is a MUST! Enjoy Palo Verde National Park, which protects over 33,000 acres and is known for its ecological diversity, preserving wetlands and providing a refuge for a myriad of wildlife.

Board a covered riverboat for a 2-hour ride down the slow moving Tempisque River. Be on the look out and ready to shot those one-of-a-kind photos. The mangrove swaps and the marshy lagoons provide a welcoming habitat and nesting ground to the greatest concentration of waterfowl and shorebirds in Central America. Over 300 bird species including the black-crowned night herons, jabirus stork, spoonbills, egrets, ibis, grebes, black-bellied tree ducks, scarlet macaws, keel-billed toucans and parrots have been recorded.

Enjoy a traditional family style Costa Rican meal with a natural fruit beverage before or after your riverboat ride.

What to bring: Shorts, t-shirt, hat, tennis shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, binoculars (optional), and cameras.
